Eligibility Criteria for RRB Technician 2024:
- Age Limit (As of July 1, 2024):
Technician Grade I Signal: 18-36 years
Technician Grade III: 18-33 years
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PwBD, as per government rules.
- Educational Qualifications:
Technician Grade III: Matriculation or SSLC plus ITI from NCVT/SCVT (or) Matriculation plus a completed Act Apprenticeship in a relevant trade.
Technician Grade I Signal: B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation (or) a three-year diploma or engineering degree in a relevant field.
Application Fee:
General/OBC: ₹500 (Non-refundable)
SC/ST/Minorities/PwBD/Women/Transgender/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250 (Refundable)
Selection Process RRB Technician Jobs 2024:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): A 90-minute test with 100 questions. There is a one-third mark deduction for each wrong answer. Scores will be normalized if tests are conducted in multiple shifts.
Minimum Qualifying Percentages: UR & EWS: 40%, OBC (NCL): 30%, SC: 30%, ST: 25%. PwBD candidates may receive a 2% relaxation in these percentages if necessary.

- For Existing Applicants:
Candidates who applied and paid for categories 2-18 of CEN:02/2024 can modify their applications from October 2 to October 16, 2024, without extra fees. They can update their educational qualifications, re-upload necessary documents, and change category preferences.
- For New Candidates:
New candidates include those who either did not pay for previous applications or have not applied for CEN:02/2024. Through the RRB application portal, they can apply for Technician Grade III posts in categories 2-40.
