Physical Standards for Ndian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Intake
Height
- Male Candidates: Minimum 152 cm
- Female Candidates: Minimum 152 cm
- For candidates from North East or Uttarakhand hilly regions: Minimum height is 147 cm
- For Lakshadweep candidates: Minimum height is 150 cm
Weight
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age, as per IAF standards.
Chest
- Male Candidates: Minimum chest size 77 cm, with at least 5 cm expansion.
- Female Candidates: Chest must be well proportioned with a minimum 5 cm range of expansion.
Hearing
- Normal hearing, i.e., able to hear forced whispers from 6 meters for each ear separately.
Dental
- Healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
Physical Fitness Tests (PFT)
PFT-1 (Running Test):
- Male Candidates: 1.6 km run within 7 minutes.
- Female Candidates: 1.6 km run within 8 minutes.
PFT-2 (Strength Tests):
For Male Candidates:
- Push-ups: 10 reps (1 minute, after a 10-minute break post-run).
- Sit-ups: 10 reps (1 minute, 2 minutes after push-ups).
- Squats: 20 reps (1 minute, 2 minutes after sit-ups).
For Female Candidates:
- Sit-ups: 10 reps (1 minute 30 seconds, after a 10-minute break post-run).
- Squats: 20 reps (1 minute, 2 minutes after sit-ups).
Visual Standards
- Visual Acuity: 6/12 (each eye), correctable to 6/6.
- Refractive Error Limits:
- Hypermetropia: +2.0D
- Myopia: -1D (including ±0.50 D astigmatism)
